The hungry running monster...

Friday, March 18, 2011

Frustration....I have stepped up my running (just shy of 15 miles this week), and along with that increase in running, comes the hungry monster. This happens all of the time. I am STARVING....I can't even think I am so hungry -

Of course today - I made a bad choice and had 2 oreos....and then 2 more....they worked, when I washed them down with some1% milk...but seriously - why didn't I grab a yogurt, or something else...nope grabbed the oreos....

I will be over for calories for the day....I will most likely end up around 1700-1800, and I'm shooting for 1500.....My GWF is telling me that as of 6PM I have burned 2600 calories for the day - so I am going to be in a nice big deficit for the day - but still....

UGH....

I'm just mad at myself. I am not letting it dictate the rest of my day - or the weekend for that matter.....

I am pretty psyched. I have had two amazing runs this week - both at around 5miles....Whoot...I am loving Galloway running - it keeps me from getting inside my head.

I'm also pretty psyched that I have taken just shy of 18000 steps for the day ---- I am shooting for the required 10000 every day - and most days I'm over, without exercise....I am just a mover I guess....but on days I run - I get close to 20000. It's pretty cool.

Gotta get ready for the Mother-in-laws bday dinner. It is breaking the Friday Catholic rule of no meat - but she is a St. Paddy's Day birthday and every St. Paddy's Day birthday girl deserves Corned Beef and Cabbage....so that is what we are having.

Funny story - because of her birthday - she was supposed to be named Patricia, but her father took off while Mom was delivering (those were the days that Dad stayed in the waiting room) and tied a good one on for St. Patrick's Day....My Mother-in-laws name is Debra....Her Mom changed to her favorite name because he took off.....Love that story.

what is it with oreos??? I was feeling blue yesterday and opened a new bag... they aren't new any more! Ugh!

I love all those steps you're getting. I get so excited when I get 10,000. I think I'd faint if I got 20k. LOL

    Great job! emoticon

Ah well, those few oreos won't stand a chance of hanging around with all the burn you're getting in. Onward, Robyn!
