3/19/11--plateaued at 139 something.

Saturday, March 19, 2011

Ok now, I've been sitting at this particular weight for over two months. I've been going to the gym regularly, varying my workouts, and walking my dog almost daily. My exercise minutes for this week are over 450. They could have been nearly 600 if I had gotten up early enough to get to the gym before work those two mornings that I could have, but didn't.

I know that was not the issue, however. The issue is what I am eating. I eat too much bad food at the restaurant. Starting today, it's the $4.99 employee salad bar option for me. It's not a bad thing to have the occasional chicken salad wrap or chili in a bread bowl, but I'm doing too much of that. Yesterday it was a slice of pizza & an order of onion rings. Huh? What was I thinking? Not to mention all of the carrot cake on the table in the kitchen that was up for grabs because it was cut in pieces too small to sell.

I feel like I am on a good program with my exercise, as long as I get sufficient enough rest to get up early in the morning and go work out. Now I have to get on track with my nutrition. It seems like I can do one or the other, but have trouble working both of them simultaneously.

I can see that I have some good muscle tone underneath the layer of fat, so I have to increase my fat burning activity. I also have to see I make good choices, so as to not add to the fat accumulation. I'm due for another micro fit evaluation at the gym. I don't feel like I've made that much progress. My body fat percentage came up to 34.5% in the beginning of January. I still feel fat. My jeans still feel tight. I'm still 139 something.

Salad bar for me. Low fat dressing--big, big, plates of veggies. I'll be growing bunny ears by the end of the week, but hopefully, I'll be able to say goodbye to 139.

You brain does NOT comprehend the word not, so you need to focus on positive statements, whether your doing them or not, it will come to you.

Say each of these five times a day.

I am eating healthy foods at every meal and at every snack
    I am exercising daily!
I am losing weight, every week!
    I am feeling good.
look in the mirror, and say, " I love you, and I am having a great day."

    I challenge you to :

Try it for three weeks, and at end of the 3rd week, write a blog, and tell us, the changes that happened.

    Hugs
    Linda

Try telling yourself this "I am not willing to walk 4 miles or spend a half hour doing Pilates just so I can eat that Carrot Cake. "NOT GOING TO DO IT!"
"I am not going to waste my exercise time and energy on you - Carrot Cake or any other food!"
    "NOT GOING TO DO IT!"
