The 92 Days of Spring - Day 2
Wednesday, March 23, 2011
Yesterday was day 2 of my 92 days of spring challenge.
Nutrition wise: My main goal of getting all my water in was a success! I also held off the sugar monster until 1:00 which was a big improvement from the past few weeks. Today I think I am going to hold off on any candy until 1:30. Maybe if I keep moving my goal back 30 minutes or so each day I will be able to combat it.
I went to the gym before work and did strength training. I am working on doing my strength training on my own instead of in a class setting and I felt pretty good about my workout when I completed! I went to the gym that was closest house (there are three locations I can go to). This is the gym I like the least since it basically caters to the university students, but I was pleasantly suprised yesterday that the gym was not 100% students. I felt like I belonged there instead of like the only old, fat person in the gym.
After work we went down to Des Moines to visit my dad despite all the storm warnings. Unfortunately the storm warnings turned into tornado warnings so we spent about an hour just sitting in the hallway of the hospital to stay away from windows. It was not very pleasant - especially with two kids with lots of energy. My husband promised the kids ice cream on the way home earlier that day, but since we left later than expected we didn't stop. I was very happy about this - I am not sure I would have said no to ice cream yesterday.
Have a great day everyone!
