Saw a sign outside a car wash that wanted to promote that it doesn't use those strip things that slap against the cars. The sign: "Hand Wash $10." My thought when seeing it? I can wash my own hands at home and save 10 bucks. D'oh.

I've long wanted to be able play the blues on a clarinet and boogie woogie on a piano. emoticon

Some people do not react to others being nice to them. Their loss.

We train our dogs emoticon while our cats emoticon train us to do whatever they want us to do.

Are they effective commercials if we remember the commercial but not the product or service it advertised emoticon

What are companies thinking when they run an ad on radio and at the end of the ad state in Spanish that they speak Spanish? Do they expect Hispanic listeners to call them and ask what their commercial was for? D'oh times 2.

Why do car owners allow the dealer that sold them their car to put the dealer name on the back of the car and/or on a license plate frame? That dealer pays for other advertising -- newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboards -- so why give them free advertising on your expensive machine? emoticon

Some things I've learned in life that we can't do too much about -- dogs bark emoticon, babies cry emoticon, scales fluctuate emoticon and too often when we don't have a taste for anything in particular what everyone else in a restaurant orders will look better than what we ordered. emoticon

The way to cut the divorce rate to absolute zero? Ban marriages.

Can anyone really expect young people today listening to heavy metal and vulgar rap in 30 or 40 years calling it "golden oldies?" emoticon

It is sad that we will never meet all the people we would like to meet. emoticon

What is so important that people need to be on a cell phone so much -- in restaurants, grocery stores, doctor's offices, etc.?

What has the U.S. Department of Education accomplished with all it's hundreds of millions of dollars when we still graduate people who can't read, do basic math, make change without a machine telling them how much to give back?
