UGH....

That's about all I can say - I have fallen and I can't get up. (Remember that commercial?)

I have spent the last week in a funk....trying to figure out where it is coming from....and I have some of the answers...WEATHER....but not all. I seem to get into a groove and then fall apart.

I am starting to wonder if it is some form of self sabotage....I fell apart the day after I officially signed up for the 10K on the 4th of July....and had promise of one on 5/1/11 as well...HHMMM...maybe I'm onto something.

I have not eaten well - but somehow the scale has not reacted badly...I'm staying put - which means I am losing muscle...I know it --- my arms feel weaker....

I have also decided I am not going to be beating myself up...I'm just going to have to find my bootstraps, and pull them up. I seem to have located them (I figure I must - because I am talking about this.)...and I have to have eyes on those straps to start figuring this out.....so now to just grab hold.

The weather is UGLY....we can't break into the upper 40's and I am not a lower 40's with wind runner and that's what we have had. Tomorrow has promise....and I have eyes on my straps...so.....here's hoping.....

This truck needs to right itself!

    I agree with Amy...fake it until you can make it. I did that for about 4 months and I am back to my old self now. I came here daily, sometimes only to read and other times to read and comment (depending on my mood and work load). I swear coming here daily is what kept the spark inside me whether it was outwardly glowing or not.

    I go thru spells like this too. Currently, my spell seems to be stress eating. If I know it doesn't make me feel better then why do I do it???

    I'm not so good pulling out of a funk. Usually getting myself to accomplish some tiny goal helps. (Like walking at the mall today.) I hope you can get your groove back. That would be a cool blog to read! How Robyn got her groove back!

    Fake it till you make it! You might feel like quitting - but don't.
    You may only put half your heart into your workouts - that's ok - as long as your doing something. The desire will come back if you don't let yourself get so far lost in the woods that you've lost sight of your goals.
    You said you found your bootstraps so you are still in this.
    I may not be the best inspiration since I have trouble eating under 2000 cals a day, LOL but.....I have kept them low the last few days. If I can start getting my truck moving in the right direction, I know YOU CAN.

    I agree with what John said. You CAN do this!!
    You really have to push yourself to get back into your groove, but you WILL do it and you will be so happy about it and run that 10k and run it well!
