GERD and GP symptoms: Got to feeling sick last night while watching tv; must have been some of that food I had at the Chinese buffet restaurant yesterday. My guess is it was probably the mac & cheese, probably too much fat in it for me. Usually that is a food that is a GP friendly food for me, but then normally I make my own at home and I use 2% milk, low fat cheese, and very little butter in it.

Today the GP is a lot better, but having chest pains from the GERD. Usually if one flares up, so does the other. I had tests done to rule out a cardiac cause for the chest pain, but they are still scary sometimes, even though I know my heart is ok.

Pain: It's one of those "3 pain pill" days; haven't taken the 3rd one yet, but I will at bedtime. Woke up with my hip/knee hurting, that got better with the pain pill, but this afternoon the arm/shoulder pain flared up again.

Fatigue: Not one of my worst days, but not one of my best either. Didn't have the best sleep last night; kept having strange dreams (maybe it was the Chinese food? lol) and kept waking up a lot. And the pain pills are adding to the tiredness today.

It's also possible that my blood counts may have dropped a little lower; I had chemo on March 22nd, but it can take anywhere from 4-10 days for the blood counts to drop after a treatment.

The weather is slowly warming up; it got into the low 40's today; considered going for a walk, but decided not to since my leg on the sciatica was feeling a little weak, even after the pill helped with the pain. I noticed that the crocuses are coming up in my yard! Still have about half of my yard covered with snow.

I did not do my strength training workout today either because of the GERD and the shoulder pain. Had a lot of setbacks with the fitness this month, due to the chemo side effects and pain issues; only managed 321 minutes this month, exercising 19 out of 31 days. But I am not beating myself up for that; I know I honestly did the best that I could.

Going to try to go to bed a little earlier tonight, there is a used book sale tomorrow that I want to go to, and I want to get there in the morning before everything is picked over.

I so agree with all these comments. You exercised 19 out of 31 days!! That is great!! That means that you only had 12 days that you didn't exercise. Most people can't beat that AND they do not have a good reason. I am also inspired by your strength and commitment to your goals. Great job!! emoticon emoticon :) Cinda

Wow 321 fitness minutes this month, that is awesome!! I did probably about 10 minutes (all month) and all I am battling is a bit of sciatica, that comes and goes.

You inspire me with your healthy choices. Hope your pain feels better and hope you enjoy your book sale! emoticon
