Good day today with Mom

Friday, April 01, 2011

Today I took Mom to get a perm. She really didn't want to go, but I finally talked her into it. After we got there, she said she was just getting a haircut, not a perm. Oh my. I suggested how much better she would feel if she got the perm and not have to do anything much with her hair. Also, my brother is coming tomorrow and I really wanted her to be happy she had the perm. BUT MOST OF ALL, I knew she would feel so much better if she got the perm.....because she would feel good that she looked really nice. She did get the perm and she was so glad she did. She liked the person that did it and she really liked how the person was so "sweet" to her. After we got home, she, hubby, and I went out to dinner. We had a nice dinner and Mom was really happy. It was so worth doing.

That's wonderful, Nancy! When I read about you and your mom, it brings back memories of me and my mom. There were challenges from time to time, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. She lived with me the last 3 years of her life. Thank you for sharing your mom with us.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Take care!

    Hugs,
