Hi to all my Spark friends

I hope to be back I have missed all of my spark friends. And I need SP. Over the last few month that I have missed being here I have put on some of the weight I had worked so hard to take off. I have gained back 15 pounds and feel terrible. I'm still taking classes and working two jobs and my back injury, but some how I need to get back on this site and into my work-outs. I know I need to start out slowly again but I want to get back into running and hope not to cause further injury to my back my hopes is to make it stronger somehow. L3-L4 are herniated causing pain down my right side and sometimes numbing feeling down both legs.
So if anyone has any ideas let me know. Workout have been my biggest problem I have been able to maintain healthy eating. I need a good swift kick in the a** to make sure that I login here daily. I know all of my SP friend will help out.

    Glad you are back on SPARK. I don't really have any exercise advice for your back issues, but I do know that core strength and exercise are the keys to a healthy back. My sister has had several back surgeries and she has overcome the pain with exercise, it's been a slow process, but she is now training for a half-marathon. Talk with your doctor before starting back to exercising. Good luck.

    WoW that's awful I feel for you honey, I know your pain I'm dealing with a weight gain also not sure how much cause I'm afraid to get on the scale emoticon but be strong and remember tomorrow is always a new day and the mistakes of yesterday are gone. Sorry about ur back injuries sure that must be tough I feel for u. Hope do over do it and be careful I am wishing you the best of luck!!

    I have a similar back problem and get steroid injections and take pain pills to keep the right leg from going numb. That said, in the past 7 months I have lost 47 pounds, without being able to do a lot of exercise. I watch portions and snack on fruit or low-fat fruit flavored yogurt instead of sweets and do what movement I can -- raking leaves, upper body weights, pushups, and so on -- but can't do a lot of walking or running. So losing weight with out problems is possible. Focus on losing just one pound, no matter how long it takes. Then congratulate yourself and aim for the next one pound. Small, consistent successes builds confidence and reinforces that we can do this. Best of success to you. Let us know how things work out. -- Lou

    Well first of all, we have missed you on spark....

    I don't know about the exercise, I have so much trouble with
    my back I would not dare to advise anyone else...lol
