Our trip to Garner, N.C. (Part II) woohoo!
Sunday, April 10, 2011
Sunday brings sunshine and wind to So. Illinois today. I'm so happy that Spring has finally arrived!
Here are the pictures from our vacay to Garner and Myrtle Beach....FUN FUN FUN! The first day we looked around and unpacked, purchasing good tickets in the front for the Carolina Opry. I posted that picture of the four of us in the previous blog. It was enjoyable and funny.....restful...preparing for the next night to learn the N. C. SHAG at Fat Harold's. This was a blast!
I was so pleased that Art and Bob were up for learning to dance the Shag! I adore cooperative men! Woot!
That day we ate at JOHNNY ROCKETS where we all enjoyed a rare burger, onion rings and shake. I think I posted that picture yesterday. This was a very rare treat!
The next day, it was still cold and windy, but Art and I braved it and went down to the ocean to the beach. At least the sun felt good on our faces.
Back at their luxurious condo we went to rest a bit and get ready for Margaritaville and Myrtle Beach Hard Rock. First stop....Hard Rock. (Haley and Nik loved their HR Coutour tees)
Margaritaville was our next stop....
Who doesn't love Jimmy Buffet??
We had so much fun here.....Now for the trip home and the dancing at the LONGBRANCH that evening...
Alas.....All great events must come to an end. Time to say farewell....until we meet again. Tentatively, we have planned to stay at the Wyndham with our friends again in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee....wooweeeee! My personal experience was one of JOY. There is nothing better than connecting with friends and spending quality time with them. I'm SO HAPPY WE DID!
Time to go.....So long South and North Carolina. I shall have you in my vault of memories forever! BYE BYE......
Think we took enough stuff? haha
