A year ago I would have been frantically planning and getting ready for the work week. It feels good to know that the days are mine to plan, play and get healthy.

I am so proud of myself for going to a friend's house to meet up with the Ciao Babies (our group 0f 6 high school friends) to plan our trip to Italy this October. I managed to contain my consumption of food which was difficult when it came to the Sweet Potato Fries and the lemon cake - dilemma - I can taste one - but not both - I go for the Sweet Potato Fries - and only 10 from a totally organic restaurant - but fries are fries - organic does not always mean low cal.

Anyway, by the time I got home and even had a light dinner - added up the calories and bam! I ate less calories today than any day this week. Go figure! So at the days end, we have plans to see Rome, Herculeum, Venice, Siena, Assisi, and Florence, and I managed to eat healthy overall!

Before our gathering, I met up with one of the girls to do a 3.5 mile walk at a pretty good clip, working up to a 5 mile-a-day habit, hopefully. So good for me! I am feeling the results 2 ways. One - I will be free basement shopping soon for smaller sizes and two - I am physically feeling stronger.
