I am feeling some pain.

Thursday, May 05, 2011

Well, I am so glad the surgery is over. Let's not kid anyone, it was surgery, but I have the best doctor in the world!! He is so kind and gentle. When they were putting me out, he was rubbing my shoulder. I have never had a doctor do that before surgery!! He even helped them wheel me into surgery and apologized for being an 1 and 15 minutes late!! (He was doing a robotic surgery before me and they lost a needle. They can not close the patient until they find the needle and it put him an hour behind!!) I did watch the movie Beethoven while I was waiting and I was starting The Wedding Planner when he came to talk to me. I want to watch that one, as I haven't seen it in awhile and it looked so good!! Anyway, my arthritis was really hurting, especially my back after laying on the stretcher bed yesterday. They just don't make those beds in Surgery Plus very comfortable. One of the nurses said they are good for moving and that is about it!! emoticon So glad they have pain pills to ease the pain!!

I know everyone is wondering what kind of surgery I had. Well, let's just say it was a female surgery...that took about 20 minutes in surgery...and leave it at that!! I didn't have to be intubated...but they did have to put me out. Which was painless and I didn't even get sick this time!! I had a great doctor put me out...I just can't spell the type of doctor right now!! He gave me something for my acid reflux in the IV when he gave me the sedating meds. And he was right...he put me to sleep and I woke in recovery about 45 minutes later. I was wide awake... and didn't remember anything other than breathing the oxygen in the OR.

I know this isn't about weight, or fitness, or much to do with Spark People. This is my blog...whether it includes those things or not!! This is my outlet to express myself...it just happens to be on Spark People. And I didn't even log on yesterday or count my calories. I figure it is a wash!! Although, I did eat last night and I do weigh more this morning...part of that is water weight. I drank lots of water...when I got home and some Sprite's. Anyway, probably more than I normally do...even though normal is about 11 bottles of water a day. emoticon

It is about 4 a.m. and I just got on here to do my blog and log in. I should have a 2 month trophy waiting for me...if I can remember how to get it!! I know I go to manage trophies and I think it is on my Spark Page...I am sure I will find it later today.

Well, I can almost take another pain pill..because I took my acid reflux pill about 30 minutes ago...so I am going to close for now. My best to everyone. Have a great day!!
