Happy Friday

Friday, May 06, 2011

Hi all!! Happy Friday! I feel pretty good. I am house sitting for 2 days at a very nice house. Also get to do my laundry...which is a plus, because I didn't think I would get it done this week!! emoticon

Had a great night's sleep and woke feel pretty good. I am going to get a few things done around this house for my friend while she is out of town. I don't have to...just want to.

I am going to see my friend, Bobbie, tonight...to help her with Mother's Day stuff. I don't do Mother's Day anymore, so it will be fun!! (My Mom has been gone since 2003.) Sometimes a hard time of year for me. It is usually harder on Sunday's when I am sitting in church thinking of her.

I finally talked to my sister and she is just so tickled with her new grandson!! I am excited for her. My other sister is also excited, because she is not a grandma yet, but loves kids and babies!! I am sure she will offering to babysit Knox when she can! If she can get him away from his 2 grandma's!!

My weight was down again today. It was up yesterday, because I ate so much late in the day Wednesday after surgery. I just couldn't get full!! I might even play the Wii today and get some much needed exercise!

Well, I am going to go check my clothes. I just had a turkey burger, fruit, and lettuce for lunch. It was really good. I cooked a few the other day and froze them. What a great idea!! Now I just get them out of the freezer and heat in microwave. Quick and low fat.

Have a great day!!

Hey Angie! Glad to hear you're feeling better! My grandma died in 1995 and my mom still starts crying spontaneously from time to time when something reminds her of my grandma. Church is especially bad because my Grandma was a devoted church-goer and very involved in all the church activities. I gave my mom a framed picture of her and my grandma on my mom's wedding day for mother's day and she started bawling immediately. She said it was a good cry, though, because it was a picture that she had never seen before and her mother looked so young and healthy in it (she died of cancer... and she didn't look anything like herself by the end). Anyways, just wanted to share with you that there are others out there who miss their mom's on mother's day too. I hope you have good memories to remind you of her, though!
