After I brought the kids home, my mom and I went over to my grandparent's old house which is for sale and worked in the yard. My mom has been planting and stuff and brought me along for manual labor, but she called it "exercise" so I was in! I like raking leaves, but then she told me she really wanted me to pick up all the down branches and twigs...UGH! Their yard is full of old oak trees and the yard was scattered with twigs and branches or all shapes and sizes. I definitely got a workout in. After I finished, I laid on the picnic bench and let the sun (when it would peak through the sky) warm me. After a while, the clouds overtook Mr. Sun and I got up to do some push-ups on the bench and lunges to warm me up. Felt good to be outside and get some exercise today! I wasn't as good a planner about today, though. I had eaten before I took the kids home and grabbed a small snack before heading out with my mom, but we were gone way more hours than I had anticipated. Luckily, I wasn't super hungry while we were away.
Meal 1 - strawberry and banana smoothie with chocolate protein powder, small cup of coffee while I was at TJ's, water.
Meal 2 - raw cashews, 1/2 apple, water.
Meal 3 - pork tenderloin, mixed green salad with cilantro, roasted red peppers, grape tomatoes, craisins, balsamic vinegar and olive oil; brown rice with olive oil and basil, water.
Meal 4 - raw cashews, dried apricots, water, coffee w/almond milk.
Meal 5 - banana; cod; zucchini, mushrooms and red onions, water.
My kids left me cards they made at school for Mother's Day and I got myself some flowers that were bright and make me happy:
If you are a mother, I wish you a wonderful day tomorrow!
