Spring Challenge--Day 1

Beginning weigh in follows a not so stellar week of only getting to the gym once, and eating at least one meal out every day! So my weigh in was high but I know that a lot of that is water weight due to the sodium in restaurant food.
All in all, not a bad day. I had a healthy breakfast and spent the day at an herb & garden fair with my son & daughter in law, so a lot of walking around enjoying a pleasant day. Will also lead to lots of future time gardening, which is very healthy for body & soul.
Another good thing about today was the walk I just got back from with my dog. What a beautiful, crisp spring evening--very relaxing to hear the birds all settling in for the night. I also had a fairly good dinner of haddock & cauliflower. Although I did have a piece of pie for dessert.
Another downfall at lunch, when the kids decided to hit Sonic on the way home from the herb fair. I had a chicken toaster & a tropical smoothie. The chicken toaster looked like the healthiest thing on the menu, and the smoothie was good, but I should have just gotten water. I didn't drink enough of it today.
Tomorrow's a full day of work, so the challenge, as always is not to graze as I am working. I work in a restaurant, so there are always temptations. Tomorrow I will blog about how I avoided them!
