OK, summer officially starts on June 21, but really it starts as soon as it's warm enough or when school is out, or whenever people decide. For me, Memorial Day signifies the start of summer. I'm part of a group and we've been discussing starting a challenge.
So, I'm going to start a challenge. It starts on the 15 of May which just so happens to be a Sunday...perfect! It will go until the end of May. So a 16 day challenge. I like it! Our group is still working out the details of the challenge, but the thing we all talked about was that some people do great with working out, and some do great with eating, but most don't do great with BOTH. This challenge focuses on both. Lifestyle change is what we're going for. 16 days to kickstart our lifestyle change or rather lifestyle balance.
So just getting an idea of goals and guidelines for this challenge....nothing officially decided yet, but I like working it out and planning it.
**FITNESS**
-30 min of fitness each day....this includes walking, working in yard, cleaning, quick ten minute bursts, cardio, anything active and not sitting on our butts.
(My personal goals)
-Finish MTC ...on day 12 today...so 18 days left...will finish this on May 29.
-Get 4 days ST in and 2 days cardio.
-Run a 5k in under 30 minutes.
**NUTRTION**
-5 servings of veggies a day
-Plan each day's food. (it's only 16 days!!)
(My personal goals)
-Stay within 1350-1700 calories a day.
-Only red wine no more than 4 days a week...sorry all, I love my Vino.
-Don't give in to cravings...have ONE of something I REALLY want, but stop at that. Learn my limits and boundaries!
So that's the rough draft...Girls in Celery Sticks group, I have added my personal goals, but you can see what I have thought about.
