12 hr vs 8 hr challenge

Okay, I'm trying to get on a schedule that I can pretty much stick to even on my days off. Waking up isn't so much the problem--the radio goes off at 5 am. However, when I get to bed seems to come out of a random number generator. Working 12 hour shifts that get hectic put me home between 8 and 9. I can usually get 10 minutes of treadmill in before work. On days that I go in an hour later, I get a better workout in, but I have no idea what time I'll get home...could be after lunch, could be after midnight. I would love to have a fixed schedule again, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. hummmmmm.... The key here I guess is flexibility and do the best I can to get 8 hours of sleep (main goal). Good thing I love my job!
