Something I'm doing to help with the daunting task of making my target weight is setting interim goals that don't go more than a quarter of the year. It's good to see the end coming up and I'm planning a reward for each. The end of my first weight loss goal is coming up soon - this week if the darn scale stays down till Wednesday (weigh day).
It's a good time to review my goals and my strategies and plans. To rethink my daily habits and where they need to be improved or adjusted to keep up my motivation and interest up or make more progress.
I'm at the end of only the first interim goal but it's worked so far. I was getting into a little bit of a slump but being able to feel like I accomplished a goal, seeing that it can be done in manageable chunks and preparing for starting on my next goal (reviewing and tweaking my habits) has helped my focus.
