205 days to go - daily dates with myself

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Today I won't have any work till 11 am and am hoping to get at least 6 hours in of work. Tuesdays have been bad for me lately. Don't know why but it is usually the day I get bashed from work and feel so dejected then I don't work out and eat wrong and stay up really late and snack on all the wrong foods feel horrible on Wednesday and then start the cycle. I'm hoping today will be different. Today HAS to be different.

I had an epiphany yesterday. I was thinking of all the things I need to do and was making a list. I included working out as I was writing appointments of people I need to meet up with for coffee or errands I needed to run. I realized that if I started including my workouts in my appointment book and look at them as a date/appointment that I have to fulfill - I will do it! So there goes - from now on I will be having daily (I hope) dates with myself!

Continuing on the lessons I am learning:
1. My body doesn't agree with buffalo burgers
2. If I'm in bed early - I avoid late night snacks
3. I will run for a longer duration of time if I run outdoors versus indoors
4. Setting up a schedule that includes daily dates with myself to ensure that I am giving myself time to workout

i think its a great idea to schedule your workouts as appointments. maybe also schedule your last meal too? that way if you write down 9pm - evening snack, you'll eat it and in your head it will be conscious that its your last meal? just a thought...

hope you're having a good day? did you get your run in yet?
