Dad's Surgery Today

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

Dad has his surgery today, he is already under the knife so to speak. We probably won't hear anythign for about 3-4 hours. Very stressful! We are hoping that all goes well and they are able to remove the upper lobe of his lung. He is not a good candidate for full lung removal, so anything they can get or do would be great. We are praying the tumor is in a good location and is not attached to the lower lobe. I will try and post updates as soon as I can.

We have decided to book plane tickets for June 19 or 20th to go home and visit and then drive all my stuff back here to CA (3 days in a Penske moving truck--I am so excited--can you see it in my typing?). I applied for unemployment, through Indiana, because I didnt have wages in 2010 in Ca. Frustrating by far. I will find out in a few weeks, yes weeks, if I qualify.

Me and the honey slept in this morning, I downloaded some apps onto my phone for job searches, then had a great breakfast of eggs, tomato, and grapes. 2 glasses of water already in also. I am planning to hit the gym tonight/today at some point to get Week 3 started of C25K.

I am trying to keep things under control with my eating, and the past week or two ahs been horrendous. I am nearly back up to 200 regularly on the scale and I am trying to get back down. It is amazing what 5-10 pounds can do to the clothes you wear!

Even if we don't get back those pounds, those inches that start to creeping back also can be annoying!

Wish your family be strong now and in future.

Hope everything is well with your dad. My dad had part of a lung removed when he was in his 60's and lived to be 90. Take care,

I'll be praying for your dad and for you. Right now practically everyone qualifies for unemployment so don't fret about that. Good luck with your move.

So hope your father's surgery goes the best it can!! Worry about the weight when your life has settled down more. Being in transition and not knowing what is going to happen can hit any dieter's resolve hard.. You will get it back, not to worry.
