Summer goals

So, summer has begun! Hubby and I kicked it off with a relaxing 9 day beach vacation!! We had a blast! It was nice to take a break from reality. I was very bad with my healthy decisions and took a vacation from those as well. I am not upset about it. I enjoyed every beer, cocktail, glass of wine, hamburger, sushi, and more that I indulged in.
With that said, I do have goals for this summer and over indulging in food and drink is not in that equation. I took my vacation from life, now I'm back and ready to rumble!!
Summer is a great time for me. I have about 2.5 months off to get stuff done around the house, get fit, relax, watch the nieces and nephews, and more. So, I have things I want done this summer. I think a big list of summer goals is fitting. So here it us....in categories...lol.
Goals for me:
~Learn portion control.
~Maintain 1200-1500 calorie diet.
~Lose between 10 & 15 lbs.
~Run 5 miles without stopping and at least 9 miles each week.
~Cardio 6 times a week and strength train 3 times a week.
~Further my education so I can become a better teacher. (Literacy 1st workshops and Harwelden workshops.)
~Read. Spend time reading and relaxing.
~Buy new clothes because I HAVE to from weight loss. :)
Goals for the house:
~Finish journey wall. Put pictures of all our journeys in frames and put up on wall around big journey picture.
~Finish antiquing guest room furniture.
~Find master bedroom furniture and redecorate master bedroom.
~Landscape front and back yard.
There are more, but I can't think of them. I'll add to the list as I think of more goals.
I am looking forward to this summer of getting things done. Last summer, I got married, moved into a new home, and was still waiting tables as a second job. I had no time to get stuff done. Now, I have plenty of time and I'm looking forward to it!!
