I'm not losing

I think I need to step up my game. I'm not losing anything. I think I need more activity. I have been working full time and the ladies love going out to eat. I try to make healthy choices but sometimes there just isn't really anything healthy. Friday I had a spinich salad with the dressing on the side. I'm not usually a big spinich eater but I'm trying ot make changes. : ) The salad was good though. It had grilled chicken on it as well.

Any ideas for healthy meals to take with me to work?

    I'm living by the SparkPeople recipes by ChefMeg. I've also learned to cook with healthier ingredient substitutes, making my own salad dressings, seasoning mixes and incorporating a lot more fruits and veggies. We pick out five recipes for the week and try to cook most of them on the weekend so that we can divide them up in dishes for lunches. Not sure if any of these ideas sound like that will work for you.

    I've also found Rocco DiSpirito's cook book Now Eat This which takes "comfort foods" and shows how to make them 100% healthier. I was able to check it out at our local library but think I will save my money and buy me a copy for regular use. It has some fantastic recipes like Mac-n-Cheese, Fettucine Alfredo, and a lot of helpful tints on how to cook healthier.

    It takes a while to get in a new routine as far as preparing foods, but is so worth not dining in restaurants. We've learned that even if the food is listed as a "healthy choice" the salt content is off the charts. It can be done but you need to do a lot of research before dining out.
