What a day yesterday!

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Yesterday was not the best of days emotionally. See I am a branch manager of a bank and I was recently given the opportunity to open a new build. This means from ground up starting fresh. My current manager says shes ok with it but lately she has been giving me attitude everywhere. The other day she asked me to clean up my desk( cause the company on likes a few things on the desk.) well I did what I was told but in order to do this I had to clean out my drawers a bit. So I took everything that was mine that I was not using and put in a box(since Im leaving soon). And yesterday in front of my staff she was saying I dont like this your not focused on your current job. I was so furious. She once had a ABM that didnt communicate with her and then he left. Well this resulted in a failed Audit. Now she is comparing me to him and she knows this is the furthest thing from the truth. She was really blowing up at me and I just broke down. God I cant wait to get on with my new job.
That was the bad part of my day. The good part is that while at work I did not let this affect me with bindge eating. A coworker had chocolate brownies and I asked for one then when I went to get it I opened the cabinet and madce popcorn instead. This actually made me feel really good.
On top of it all I exercised a total of 57 min with strength training...WOOT!!

For all who read the blog....Have a great day! and Thanks

I remember when. Now I encourage my wife to hang in there and let people with self esteem issues in management positions make asses out of themselves. I feel sorry for them. Good on you for the popcorn and the training. What stress relief, eh? Thanks for sharing and focus on your dreams and goals. Your manager is no part of them!

Good for you on not giving in to emotional eating.

Sorry to hear your manager is being difficult. I hope things get better for you.
