It was a weekend.....

Whirlwind....that's how I would describe it.....

It started slightly frustrating, because my car was not ready by the time I needed to go to baseball for my 12 yr. old, so I had to borrow the parents wheels (good thing they live 700 feet away).....we drove all the way there - only to find out that the game got cancelled....gotta love rain......

Saturday started with the trip to pick up the car....good news, it was only $500, not $700 as anticipated....but it still smarts.....

Then it was off to baseball for both boys. Hubby and I have to divide and conquer this Summer, and because he is coaching the 9 yr. old, he goes with him, and I get to go with the 12 yr. old.

This is a big Summer for the 12 yr. old....in little league, they have the Little League World Series, and he made the team in our home town that is trying to win their way there.....the tournament starts this weekend for that....

Anyway - off to baseball we go.....he was the starting pitcher, and pitched really well. He had one kid hit a 3 run homer off of him, and it really impacted the game, however, the 6 errors his fielders made destroyed any chances of them winning at all...so they lost. The good news is that my 12 yr. old was named his teams MVP for the game (chosen by the opposing coach.)

We then traveled about 30 minutes to 9 yr. olds game, then back for 12 yr. olds 2nd game, and then back to the other field for the 9 yr. olds 2nd game. I am glad I travelled back, because my 9 yr. old received the MVP for his 2nd game.

He was so cute, the award was a game ball and a plastic ball box, engraved with MVP. He even scooped a little field dirt into the case for a memory. Gotta love that kid.

We did try for a healthy lunch - but time was not on our side....so I had a whopper jr. and a diet coke.....

I felt like I spent the day in bleacher and the car.

We ended the say with Cheesecake Factory - not the best choices... and honestly - we go there once a year, so I wasn't into making the right choice....I had a Cuban Sandwich YUMMO....we took our cheesecake to go....good thing, because I did enter all of my food in, and that sandwich was enough calories for almost the whole day....WOW!

Yesterday - I had cheesecake (Key Lime flavor) for breakfast (1/2) and lunch (1/2) - yucky food choices, but I recorded them.

I had a lot of veggies for dinner, with a serving of meat and managed to be under in everything but fat.....so made up a little ground.

It was an interesting Sunday - and I really have no excuses for not exercising....but I didn't....just did push ups while cooking dinner....

I had to go to the SuperMarket, and I tried a Market that is 13 miles away - people have told me the produce is better quality and the prices are better....and I needed EVERYTHING....so off I went.....it was a 2 hr. trip with travel.....I really felt good when I got home, because I bought so much good stuff.....lots of fruit and veggies, and lean meats......and I also needed the staple stuff, TP, Ketchup, aluminum foil, saran wrap....so it was one of those trips. The milk was $1.50 cheaper per gallon than my local market....WTH....how can that be.

t is that........not this weekend.....I didn't even get 10,000 steps in each day.

So here I am - Monday - and I am a little sleep deprived. We have been hearing an animal the last week or so,and have no clue what it is and it sounds like a high pitch bark type sound, and it is waking us up.....last night was no exception, exception, except we finally found out what it is .....a fox.......hopefully it is mating season, and it's over soon because the noise scares me, it's eeerie sounding......woke everyone up last night......

I have my niece today - and exercise is tough - hopefully tonight - with the longer days....

Have a wonderful day.

We are just as busy with baseball having two boys that play. But luckily for us, my youngest son decided not to play this year. It was hard to see him stop playing because he started at age 4 but it was nice only having one to worry about.

My son that plays is a pitcher for his team as well and they really do have all the pressure. Sounds like a great day full of baseball!

We have fox in our neighborhood as well. I try to keep my distance.

Foxes do make a really weird sound at times...we used to live where there were quite a few of them and the first night I thought it was a child screaming. Very creepy!

I remember those days... traveling from one thing to the other! Some day you'll look back and wonder how you did it all!! SUPER WOMAN! SUPER MOM!! :D

Congrats to your MVP's - that's so cool -- and how cool would it be to be able to watch the LL World Series and say 'hey, i know that kid!'... well, sorta! Good luck to your son, I hope his team makes it!

I was thinking a fox when you described how it sounds. I hear one almost every night or early morning.

Congrats to your son on the MVP award! And good luck to the Little Leaguers in their quest for the LL World Series!

    Your weekends are exhausting!
I'm glad the opposing coach chooses the MVP - that just makes sense. Kids would choose whoever their friends are choosing or whoever is the most popular. I like the idea of an adult doing it - & from the opposing side to boot! Congrats to your little All-Stars!
Sounds like this market is worth the extra driving. And you did do your push ups while multi-tasking. What a woman!
Hopefully Foxy-Loxy will find a good fox-man to cure all her troubles so you can get some peace & quiet! LOL!
