WooHoo Wednesday!!

Another beautiful day! Pretty hot temperature predicted for today. I stayed in most of the day yesterday...I think it did get up to the high of 93 degrees...not sure, but it was hot!! emoticon

I slept 6 hours last night...ended up putting the air back on in the middle of the night. It was 72 in here when I woke at 4 am. I just don't believe it didn't get lower than that...but I did use the oven yesterday to make brownies and tilapia for the missionaries. The thermostat is close to the stove/oven...so it makes since that it goes up so high. We'll see what it registers today...when it is so warm outside and no oven going. emoticon

I have my computer tower back and seems to be running very fast!! I am so glad! It is so nice to be able to do all my Spark stuff on the computer than on the phone. It is so much bigger!! Bigger for my hands and bigger for my eyes!! emoticon

I plan to go workout today. I am going to go to the getting started room at the Y and ride the bike and then take the water aerobics class at 7 am. That should be a good workout. I have taken a few days off, just Sunday and the first two days of the week. It was needed!! I feel better and now I can hit hard!! Next week the Y will be closed on Monday...so maybe I will try to workout on the Wii. I know I say that...then it doesn't happen!! I am just not good about working out at home. I have to wait until 8 am and by then I want to start my day...not get all sweaty!! emoticon I am funny...I don't like to sweat!! I think that is why I like water aerobics so well. If I sweat...I don't even know it!! I am already wet...what's a little sweat in the pool!

Today is going to be a slow day. I volunteered Monday and Tuesday...so not going in today. I plan to workout and come home and read. I have lots of magazines to catch up on and am finishing a book. It is called "Murphy's Boy" by Torrie Hayden. It is excellent. She has written some really good books. I was reading at 10 pm last night and had to put it down and go to sleep!! I didn't want to...but I needed to! emoticon

My sleep is still erratic...to say the least. It was even worse when I was housesitting...because I wasn't in my own bed!! What a difference my bed had made in my sleep. I now sleep on my back. I hadn't been able to do that since 1983, when I injured my back. And now that I sleep on my back...I am having neck problems. Go figure!! If it is not one part of my body rebelling...it's another!! emoticon

I checked my blood sugar this morning and it was 94. That is fasting. I don't check it all that often...but I try to check it once a month, sometimes once a week. Anyway, I like to keep tabs on it, since I am pre-diabetic. My father was a type 2 diabetic...so I knew the risk was there. Especially being over 100 pounds too heavy, but I am taking the bull by the horns and doing something about it!! I am so glad I found the Diabetes Prevention Program!! It has been a lifesaver!! Thanks to Bev and all the speakers from our class and SP, I have learned a new way to eat...and exercise and live!! I feel fortunate that I found it when I did!! It has been great!!

Well, my computer needs to restart to update...so I need to get off here for now. I will be back tomorrow with another blog!!

    We turned our air off last night and that was a terrible idea! I checked the temperature outside at 10:00 last night and it was still 84 degrees! Yikes!

    (Oh, and P.S. I noticed that you mentioned you baked brownies and I thought I would tell you about a brownie recipe I tried. The recipe is for black bean brownies and it's by the user GENEVIVA. I was REALLY skeptical about how they would turn out, but they were DELICIOUS!! They make more of a cake-like brownie, but they're still super tasty (and you can't beat the amount of fiber you get from the beans!!). Anyways, just thought I'd let you know about it in case you're looking for some diet-friendly desserts!)
