Unexpected Miles...and the tale of the tape....

I woke up today feeling tight after all of the trail running yesterday. My original plan was to run today, and rest the next two in anticipation of my 10K on the 4th.....however, with the tight hamstrings, I thought I should rest today....
Went about the day - house work, laundry - you know the drill, and then it was time for baseball for the 12 yr. old....so I decided that I didn't feel that bad, and I would run while he practiced....so I did a quick change, and a quick look up of the streets around the field, and off we went.
I am so glad I did. I had the best run in a LONG time....my intervals were unbelievable, and I felt like I could have done 2 more miles...but I didn't want to push it.
I have typically been doing 6/1 intervals (average) - but today I pushed....I did 15/1, 12/1, 10/1 and then finished up my run....It was awesome....I couldn't believe how good the 4 miles felt....4 miles in 41 minutes....Who would have thought, and that is with 3 minutes of walking....I had a great pace.
I don't know if this is because this is a route that I have never run before....I didn't anticipate every mile and every hill or just because it was a good run - but I'll take it.
I also have a great start to my July mileage....miles I hadn't anticipated this morning....
Today was also tape measure day....here's the tale:
Waist: 31 to 30 -1
Hips: 41.75 to 39.75 -2.25
Thigh: 24 to 23 (each -1)
Calf: 16.25 to 16 -.25
Bust Band: 34 to 33.5 -.5
Fullest Bust 40 stayed the same
Upper Arm: 12.75 to 12.5 -.25
That's 6.25 inches total in the month of June. A month that hasn't been the most spectacular in the eating or exercise department, but a month that also saw a 9 pound weight loss from 165 at the beginning of the month to 156 yesterday! I'll take it!!!!
I hope that July can see me sayin 149 at the end of the month - that's a lot 7 pounds....but with increased mileage, and careful eating it's possible.
