I know how you feel, mine died so I had no choice, but I had to face the fact that because of the person he was, if someone offered to wave a magic wand and bring him back, I'd say 'no thanks'. I don't miss him as he was, but as he could have been, difficult after 40yrs together, because although he was a pain in the arse, he was MY pain in the arse. So keep it together, verbal abuse or worse is never easy, but like grief it will subside, and you'll think of him less often. 3575 days ago
