Scattered.....

That's about how I am feeling right now - many thoughts running through my head, and not sure where to start. It feels like forever since I blogged, but only a few days --- it's been a busy few days!!!
I have neded my little pitty party - and decided that no matter what - I ran that darn race, and all the people sitting in the stands didn't - so that makes me better. HA! Thank you to everyone for your support. I really wasn't as down as I sounded, I had just hoped to show some rocking shoulders....NEXT YEAR!
After my little blog whine, the boys and I went trail running/biking again - it was very good therapy. I really didn't have it in me - but they wanted to so we did....sometimes have a 12 and 9 year old beg to go really gets you out there....We did 3.7 on Thursday. The first 3/4 of a mile are the worst....it is paved trail, and they can fly - so I am always pushing out of the gate...then it is right into a rocky up hill climb. This is where I usually catch them, as I am faster on my feet on this climb then they are on their bikes....I had a few seconds to wait for them and I was panting - not just breathing hard, and my quads were aching.....so I knew we were getting a good pace in - the rest of the run was "normal" until we got back to the paved part again - then they push my pace. I guess this is good - I end up running under 9 minute paces through this part --- so I am building different parts of my legs and cardio...good I guess.
Friday was a rainy dud of a day. Did a lot of errand running, and then to my niece's house to see her on her birthday. She turned 4 on Friday. when we had asked her what she wanted for her birthday - she said a pony and a butterfly dress.....well somehow, I pulled it off....I found a horse, that was about 2' tall for her and a bright pink (her favorite) dress with sparkly butterflies on it....YEAH AUNTIE! She loved it. We also brought her an ice cream cake - as we weren't able to get to her party because of baseball games.
Both boys had baseball Friday night - so we divdided and off we went...hubby with the 9, me with the 12....hubby coaches the 9 so it's a no brainer. We thought that my oldest might get his game called due to the rain, but they pushed through it - they won 7-5. Yeah....one step closer to the playoff round. He had a great night...2 doubles, a single and a walk. He played 1st base all night.
I was so happy for my guy too - after the game - he was invited by the "cool" kids to go for a bite to eat at the local Irish Pub....he was so excited! There were 4 kids, 3 dads and me....kind of a strange group - but he had fun and that is all that mattered.
Saturday was CRAZY busy. My Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law were moving to their new house, so we went to help. I thought we would just be moving boxes, and then taking them off of the truck. I was WRONG. They hadn't packed a thing...so it was packing, and loading. I am sore from carrying the heavy boxes and furniture.
The afternoon was more baseball.....bright sunny skies..... My guy was pitching yesterday. He did really well. He only gave up 5 runs...and they were on 2 hits. The other team had this man child that barely swung the bat - but when he did it was a home run....1 for 2 runs, and 1 for 3 runs.....that was ok - because my guy got him back....
He hit a GRAND SLAM!!!!! A 4 run Home Run!!!! It was also the winning hit of the game, and he became the winning pitcher because of it. It was so cool!!!! The parents of the other players were high fiving me, and patting me on the back...it was too funny - like I had anything to do with it.
After the game we went to the coach's house for a get together....adult beverages and pizza were on the menu....
Needless to say - eating has not been great, but I am staying in calorie defecits according to my go wear fit....the scale has not moved, but that's good - not up - but not down either.
I did blow the no added sugar part of my No Gain Weekend....but I'm OK with that.....I've been active and having a blast with the kids.
Today is more baseball........in the bright sun....I must use stronger sun screen today - the right arm is slightly red today.....so I need to protect that!
