Jump Rope - not just for kids....

One of the parts of my Summer Challenge Group is to find a new exercise this week. A few weeks back I had book marked a 10 minute jump rope workout that I thought would be a great addition to my routine, and also to help shape my calves....I want that little outside calf muscle to show itself off some.....
So today I decided to try it. Coach Nicole puts you through the paces with a 30 second interval routine that alternates between jumping rope with various types of jumps and marching in place. It was a great workout....and I burned 123 calories in that short time....almost as good as running a mile at an 8 minute pace.

We visited the MIL's pool today with my niece and she spend an hour floating around in her little lady bug float - it was a great day for it - over 90 again - and then it was just a rather chill out day...until baseball of course.
The little man almost beat one of the best teams in the league tonight - so proud of them.
Calves are starting to feel tight from the jumping today - good thing...
Tomorrow - trail running - and my 12 yr. old said we are going long - so I better be ready...OH BOY....better get some shut eye!
