Dairy of the maniac....42days till tri!

This week I have done two rides. 16 miles with Amy Jean the other night and another 16 miles today. As i hopped off my bike and thought of the last tri I did. I trained by riding 400 miles for last sprint tri. This one, 32 miles. I have a lot of work to do in this area, but the bike ride is 12 miles long, so I know that I can complete this segment.
I did wear a new pair of cyling shorts. They were definitely more comfy, but still not the best on the bottom. FYI, I did check online to see if any comfort would be alleviated by shaving, and found that is not a help, and it would only make it worse.... Just in case anyone else wondered too. LOL. For 17 dollars online i did buy a pair of cycling underwear with the padding in it....And one more pair of cycling shorts off EBAY today...I
Tomorrow I plan on doing a brick. I am going to do a swim followed by the ATM machine at the gym. I feel that if I practice each segment of the tri 2 times a week, I should be fine by the tri. Again, I know that I will not beat my last time, but I should be able to complete it!
I love to ride on rail trails, does anyone else ride on them? My favorite part is looking at the peoples faces that I pass. I love when people smile. It is so contagious. Next time you are exercising try it. You might make someones day. :)

    I always smile at people on the bike path/trail/sidewalk/boardwalk when I'm jogging but most people look away or just scowl at me. Meanies! I love it when someone smiles back and says hi!!

    You don't always have to have faster times - which is pretty much impossible anyway. It's about just doing it! And you are! Frankly, I still can't fathom doing a tri.

    Yeah baby!!! So psyched you got on the bike again today!!! Bet you kicked some serious butt out there without me eggin' ya on. I am proud of you! Things might be tough exercising together this week, but I should be able to plan on Thursday again!!! I'd be up for the same as last week. Funny thing is, John was using my computer tonight and I heard him chuckling - I asked what he was laughing at and he said "my sister's blog from today!" Now I know why - LOL - TMI - Trim, gf, TRIM~~ no need to shave :)

    I hear ya on the pain. I put a padded seat on my last bike which helped a little.

    Fortunately my recumbent indoor bike does not hurt at all...woot!

    Way to go on the ride and best wishes for your upcoming TRI.
