A fellow Done Girl posted the topic "What's your weight story" with these questions
Feel free to respond with answers of your own.
1.) How old are you?
2.) How long have you been overweight, obese, or unfit?
My entire life. I have tried weight loss a few times but with very little success until I found Spark and the friends that encourage me here.
3.) What made you decide to get healthy?
I read a book title “My Big Fat Greek Diet” and even though I did not follow the diet the story and photos inspired me. I did a web search and found Spark People.
4.) Has anyone ever made rude/mean comments to you about how you look?
Way too many times for me to count.
5.) What do you hate the most about your current/starting size?
It is difficult to find clothes and be able to do many things comfortably like ride in airplanes and set in restaurant booths.
6.) What was your favorite unhealthy food before?
Potato chips – but almost anything salty.
7.) What's some of your favorite healthy foods now?
I love fresh tomatoes and salad.
8.) What is the hardest part of this journey?
Not getting discouraged when I hit plateaus or have upswings in weight.
9.)What does your workout regime consist of?
Mainly walking but I want to get back into swimming as soon as I get pool access again.
10.) What do you want everyone to know about you
I am a Christian, I love my family deeply and am a devoted friend. I am sometimes way too honest and stick up for myself and others when it may be wiser or a lot less painful to keep my mouth shut.
It may take me a really long time but I am stubborn and will reach my goals. A goal may be sidetracked but it will be met. I am trying to change my stubbornness into determination.
I really appreciate Spark and my friends here who sometimes offer just what I need to keep me going when I want to stop.
