WHERE HAVE I BEEN?
That seems to be the question of the day! I got off track and have no excuses!!
I have had low self esteam because I just wasn't feeling it and didn't care about myself. I gained back the weight and then some. I lost the momentum. I have been so busy with work and family that I didn't make the time.
How many of you have heard that before from you or someone you know?
Well this is the biggest excuse I have ever heard!!! I truly believe it comes down to portion and what you choose to eat #1. Even on the run you have a choice. At Mc D's, do you pick the kids meal or do you choose the double quarter pounder with extra cheese, super-sized with a regular coke and a Mc Flurry on the side? Don't tell me you couldn't choose the kids meal! You made the choice! No one is going to choose for you! At home, you made a great healthy grilled chicken sandwich. Why didn't you make 2 and save one for tomorrow's lunch? There is a way to do it all and you just have to choose! It takes some time, but it will get easier. Years ago I thought I would never stop drinking regular Coca-Cola. Now when I do drink soda I drink Pepsi Max or Diet Pepsi (rarely Diet Coke). Somehow I conciously made the effort to remember to buy it instead of the other and now I actually prefer diet to regular. I just need to re-train myself to do it again, but now with the food choices again!
Exercise is #2! That is more where you have to make extra time.
For today, I am starting with #1 and getting back on that wagon!! Like a crazy woman, I ran out the door this morning and forgot to pack food when I actually had healthy choices at home. Have no fear though a fast food day for me! DnD for breakfast...had Lg Iced Turbo with splash of skim and splenda...also egg white veggie turkey sausage wake up wrap. Lunch..Wendy's small chili with a plain baked potato and water. Jr. Vanilla Frosty for snack. Dinner...Wendy's grilled chicken snack wrap with a side salad and 1/2 fat free french dressing. So not the greatest choices for the day being fast food, but the best healthiest choices from what I had to work with. I still stayed between 1200-1500 for the day and will still have calories left over for tonight for a cup of frozen fruit. I was out at 6am and won't get home until 10:30pm. Working 2 jobs today.
What jump started me? My new hair doo! A sassy, trendy little doo! I have had long hair and the last time I had it done, I hated it. I kept it up all the time and it depressed me. My sisters were getting theirs done and said I should just do it and stop talking about it!
So I did!

Ok...So now that I did this, I think I have proven again to myself that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
So today...I JUST DID IT AND STOPPED TALKING ABOUT IT!
