Nice quiet day at home today after long week

Friday, August 05, 2011

I'm enjoying a nice quiet day at home.
Still have watery eyes and sniffing but now from allergies not cold
This week I've been running DH from one Dr appointment to another.

Good news is his neurologist said everything is looking good and no med changes needed.
That's always good news. Normally when we take that trip we include shopping. (have to drive 2hrs one way to get there so make use of it) but this time I wasn't up to it so we just ate and came home afterwards. McDonalds grilled chicken wrap and side salad for me. I fell in love with the pineapple and mango smoothie, but only got a small one.

Wed. took DH to bone and joint Dr to have his knee re-checked. I was feeling real bad that day (I had changed over from cold meds to allergy meds and they had not started working yet) The frustrating part is they had told us the wrong office (the bone and joint place has one on the east side of Dothan and another on the west) they sent us across town to the west one when we should have been on the east side. UGH!!! so after getting back through the morning traffic we made the appointment just in time.... only to have 6 pages of paper work to fill out and a 2 hr wait before the Dr saw him. Thank God I took my crochet with me or I would have gone nuts. Dr. gave him a shot in knee cap and said if it's the arthritis causing the pain it won't help but if it's the tear in the knee cap it would. Thank God so far it's helping. Poor dear has enough problems without having to have surgery on his knee.

Today I have been given the day off. My DD is working for me so we can enjoy our 32nd wedding anniversary. I can't believe we've been married that long but we have.
I'm making my DH lamb chops with mango salsa for supper tonight in celebration.
Tomorrow my MIL is taking us out to eat (I'll do the driving for everyones piece of mind)
then on Tuesday my DH is taking me out for Chinese food and shopping. That will be fun.

You did have a long week!
I'm so glad to hear the good news from the doctors. Good news helps you deal with the stress of having too much on your plate. We just celebrated our 35th anniversary - I can't believe it either - my goodness how time flys when you're in LoVe!
I hope you have a great weekend of celebration! Aren't you glad you've worked hard to get healthier? Gives us more energy and time for those we love. Hopefully the allergies are better, so you can smell the flowers of life.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY dear friend.
