Insanity@ 3 weeks

I've been doing Insanity for three weeks now so I thought I'd share some thoughts on the program so far. I actually missed four days because of a road trip so I'm a little behind on the workouts. Anyhoo! My randome notes:

-My average heartrate has never been as high as it was in the first week. It only runs about 145 now with the max in the low 170s. It doesn't get as high as fast and recovers very quickly during the breaks. I think this is a good thing.

-My face gets really red during the workout and doesn't stop being red for about an hour afterword. Also, have some veins popping on on the sides of my forehead. They've been blue for years but actually starting to pop out now.. but not all the time thankfully.

-I haven't lost any weight, and my clothes aren't any looser and it really surprises me how much I don't care about that right now.

-These workouts wipe me out. I have other workouts that burn as many calories during the workout but don't make me feel as tired. I suppose that's the afterburn effect of the intervals. Or I'm not getting enough water... I actually weigh about 2lbs less right after I work out...water.

I think that's it.

The warm-up is stil the hardest part of the workout.

    I love that the warm up is the hardest part. It sounds like you are making progress with your cardio fitness which is a great thing. I have to say I'm a little surprised you haven't lost any weight though. I'm not sure if that was your goal.
