So what makes today special? Not much except for, well, everything. You know how when you hit into a lower 10 pound bracket that usually you bounce back up to the low end of the bracket above? For example, I hit 138 last week, then bounced up to 142 a day later. But I was expecting it, I mean, come on, I've been doing this shindig for a year a half now, I know how it works. So I've been bouncing around between 141 and 143 the past week. Well today I got back to 140, this means I am back to losing again! Which means I should be at 135 within a couple of weeks! *insert happy dance* This also means that I have a NORMAL BMI... That's right "NORMAL". I, Layla, am a NORMAL, HEALTHY size and weight! Things have changed so much since I started this journey, EVERYTHING changes. My weight loss even affected giving blood on Saturday, from the size of the blood pressure cuff, to the way my veins popped out of my arm like something you'd see from Alien, from the feeling I felt when the lady asked for my weight. "2.....ermm....... 142" *insert internal grin from cheek to cheek* I've lost 120 lbs in a year and a half and I've got about 10-15 more to go. This time, my friends, this time I'm in it for the long haul. I'm going to make it to that finish line and I'm going to feel what success and accomplishment feels like; I'm going to know what hitting the elusive goal feels like. Anyhoo, below are some pics of where this journey has taken me:
