Okay, I wasn't really gonna blog any more, because I tend to whine a lot and never stick to what I say I'm gonna do, but this is for you, Pookie! My husband Eddie, who's a great big child at heart and loves animals, was given a voucher for a summer evening 'llama trek' in Godalming for his birthday, and we went last night.

I was a bit bemused by the whole thing, but he loved it! Several other people had booked and everyone had their own llama to lead, and we just trekked around some woods for an hour. Llamas apparently have three stomachs and spend 17 hours of their day eating, so much of the time was spent pulling llamas' heads out of bushes and trees. They seem to particularly like eating holly and brambles - ouch! They're very gentle and friendly and respond really well to people. I think Pandu liked Eddie.

The evening included dinner at the local pub and I was dreading it. I always seem to start the week off well and then go out somewhere and blow it. I was very good and shunned the huge ploughmans and the gorgeous-looking burger for grilled salmon, broccoli and new potatoes. As always, I couldn't resist the wine...

I've lost 3lbs since the beginning of last week though, so, slip-ups aside, I'm doing all right. I just hope I can keep it up this weekend - we're having a big barbecue and social occasions are such a big weakness...

SEE this was totally worth the explanation!! It looks fun!!

We call our cat Muffin a llama, because she has the fuzzy butt and britches like llamas do.
