Post Surgery

Hi all

Surgery is over and I have now been moved to inpatient rehab two days after surgery.

I am sore, but moving-Very slowly. Back area is stiff and sore-as expected.

The surgery site is seeping a little so they are worried about infection right now. I have a central line in my right jugular (Now there's a halloween picture for you!) so they gave me IV antibiotics to try to nip it early. Most of the other lines have been pulled out and while I have several bruises, they are small and not too bad.

Pain pills have been fine :-)

Doing ok for now.

    Are you sure that's where it is?
    They might have just installed a nut and bolt in your neck, : )

    Instead of being Frankenstein
    they might have planned you to be Dianestein,
    or Dr. Jekyll and Mrs Hyde(the iv) LOL

    Hi there,

    i had seeping too and one of the docs insisted that the nurses save the dressings and the like so that he could determine how much it was seeping. That took the longest time for me to heal, but we got there.

    Best wishes to you that all of this falls into place for you.
