Today is the last day I have to take Vance to work!! I am excited beyond belief!! He is glad to be able to drive again, but I think I am happier as I no longer have to drive to Skyview twice a day. It will be nice when this cold is gone to go back to water aerobics at 7am on M-W-F or maybe sleep in a little some days!! Really not sure that will happen, but it might. I have been taking my medication later in the evening and then I usually can sleep later.
I have a light day today and my sister will be in town. It is always good to see her. She is having her eyes dilated and examined. In October she will be having lasix surgery on one eye. The other eye was done many years ago. She didn't have both eyes done at once, because she didn't want to have to wear reading glasses. Now that she is older, she has to wear reading glasses anyway, so she may as well have the other eye done!!
I volunteer at NAMI today. It will be the first day I have worked in the library in 3 weeks. Sharon has been on vacation. I have done Peer to Peer interviews, but not any library work. It will be good to get a few things done.
Then I am going to PLUK. I have a bunch of things to finish there and normally I don't volunteer there on Friday, but we are having a party today for the start of the school year at Noon, so I might as well go there and get a few things done before the party.
We are having pizza. Since it is one of my favorites, I am going to have some. I am going to try to only have one slice!! Maybe that will be enough. I don't want heartburn like I had the other day. I will take a cole slaw salad and few other items to eat with it. That way one slice will be enough!!
It is cool out this morning. But the temperature says it is 60 degrees. That isn't as cool as some mornings lately!!
I haven't done much on SP lately. I hope to get on tomorrow and check out some forums on my teams. I had my last bipolar support group conference call last night. Kid's group starts next week, so no more of the support group. That is okay. I enjoyed the last 6 weeks. It has been a big success. They are starting a new one again soon. It is especially good for those in small communities around the state that don't have access to groups. I know I live in a bigger community, but I am not part of a support group. I could go to connections at NAMI, just haven't felt the need. I mainly did the support group call to support a mentor who was facilitating it. It was good to be in a group again, though.
Well, I guess I should get going with my day.
I hope you have a great day and remember...it is what you make it!!
