A long and busy Monday

Monday, September 19, 2011

It was a long and busy Monday and is not over yet. I have my Peer to Peer class tonight. I will be mentoring the class along with another peer. We have 15 class members. It should be a very good class. I have been looking forward to this class since I took the training in July. emoticon Nothing like hitting the books for school, but there is still preparation time. I also have to be able to pronounce words and proper names. I have found a new computer program for that. It is called dictionary.com. It is awesome. It pronounces the word for you. I wish I had found it years earlier!!

I had a good day for tracking, but my weigh-in, unofficial today, was not as good as last week. Well, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised after a week of being sick and not exercising. I am not worried, though. I know I will start exercising again tomorrow...riding the recumbent bike, as I still can't breathe very well and I don't like to do water aerobics when I am having trouble breathing!! emoticon I am actually dreading going to the gym tomorrow. I am starting to get out of the habit...oh no!! emoticon Have to get back in the swing of things!! I don't want to lose all the progress I have gained!!

My friend and neighbor called and made some dinner for me for tonight. She wanted to make sure I ate before my class!! emoticon What a sweet lady!! Like she has to worry about me not eating!! I wasn't going to make anything, but I do have some easy stuff to prepare. Now I can go over there and I won't even have to do dishes!! It always tastes better when somebody else makes it anyway!! emoticon She made a chicken dish with no added fat. And it has veggies and biscuits. Sounds good to me!!

I did sleep in this morning until after 6 am. I haven't slept that late during the week since school started!! I even hit the snooze button 3 times!! I finally had to just get up or I would have went back to sleep.

Tomorrow is not quite as busy. I do volunteer and I get to accept a check for $1000.00 for our tutoring program. Then I get to spend the money. I have already picked all the items out, just have to go shopping.

Well, I better run. Hope you had a great day!

I've found that when I stop working out I don't want to get back into the routine of doing it but I force myself to and that leads to better decisions and gets me back in the working out mindset :-) Every good decision starts a dominos effect to more good decisions. You can do it!! Have fun shopping for your tutoring program!
