Ugh...

This week has been a crazy one.....open house for the little guy, an extra day of watching my niece, rain and today I woke up with a cold.
The good news is that we are all approved for our little Crunch dog to come live with us - as long as the home visit doesn't go wrong...but I don't see that happening - I have spent more time on the phone with the dog lady this week than I did talking to my OB about having kids....
It's something I have joked about a little with my hubby this week - but seriously.....each of my kids required a $10 copay and that was it. To adopt the dog....several hundred dollars.....a home visit, a cori check (to make sure we aren't animal abusers), a reference check@ the vet where we take our kitty and so many questions about life in our house.
It makes one wonder if maybe there should be some kind of parental screening process before we can have kids (I know - we can't stop the conception process - so it's not really possible, and if they did deem you unfit - then there would be so many horrible births and problems.....) - but in an ideal world unfit people would not have kids.....
OK - off the soap box.
Anyhow - crazy schedule and an extra day care day led me to the long run training to be today - but NO - I woke up to not only a head cold (I would have run with that) - but pouring rain - AGAIN. I think the weather is conspiring against me.
The good news is that tomorrow looks great, so after my 9:15 appointment - I have a date with a 10 mile run. I've got it all mapped out, and there are 2 convenient stores on the route, one at 5 miles, and the other at 7.5....so if I need water....I can get it......
I can't believe that my half is only 24 days away.
