Everyone has to start somewhere. I have thousands of goals - weight loss goals, goals for the future, college goals, semester and class goals, goals dependent on goals - it all gets very confusing. However, an aspiration never becomes a goal until you act upon it. To say I have thousands of goals - well, that would make me a very busy person indeed. Correctly, I have thousands of aspirations. Weight loss has been an aspiration of mine for quite some time. Now, it is a goal.
In the education department, college has taught me there are set things, then there are ideals. In a good lesson plan, there are both. For example "Child will understand verbal communication" is an ideal, whereas "Child will recite the alphabet" is a goal. So, is weight loss an ideal - or aspiration? It cannot be. Healthy living - that's an ideal. Weight loss, another thing. A goal that will build to this fluid ideal. Hopefully I can achieve my goals.
