Hello to all of my spark friends,

Just to let everyone know I had back surgery on Sept. 22 A Micro Lumbar Discectomy, were they scraped the disc and removed the part of the herniation that was pinching the nerve.
So far I'm feeling pretty good, still a little sore and in the healing process. I have found out that the back sure does tell me when I have over done it.

I am thinking that I will be able to start walking again next week not as far as I was but I will start out slow.

Need to start losing the 15-20 pounds I gained back from the original 50 I had lost, Before I start gain any more from just sitting around the house. Prior to the surgery I had been active enough that I was able to maintain only that gain, but now with just sitting around I know I will start putting it back on.

I have a new goal to be down 40 pounds by 3/1/12.

Wow, that sounds serious... please take it slow and easy. Having a goal is important but more importantly take care of yourself...

I can relate to back problems. Surgery won't fix mine so it's pain management the best we can. Hope this works well for you. -- Lou
