Devotional: Potter's House Prayer Meeting....

Friday, October 07, 2011

Hi All, this is the devotional I am sharing tonight at church before our prayer meeting begins.

Our Theme is on Personal and Corporate Revival... God's Blessings..

Potter’s House Devotional by Judith Scott October 7, 2011

2 Chronicles 7:14; Micah 6:8

Both scriptures are admonishing us to walk humbly, do justly and to love mercy….

In order for revival to happen in a nation the people of the nation need to be revived first.

A. What Has to Happen for Revival to take root in our nation of Canada?

1. We need to be humble
2. Confess sin in our lives
3. Seek forgiveness
4. Forgive others
5. Follow Christ whole-heartedly

B. What is the Result of Following these Principles?

1. It impacts society with conviction
2. Produces godliness
3. Justice
4. Peace & Righteousness

As individuals and churches are renewed they prepare the way for revival to happen in their communities and in their countries. When the Holy Spirit is outpoured on the people and people begin to change they affect the lives of others who come along their path.

Revival begins in the hearts of the people. As our hearts are changed, it then spreads out to others, our communities and beyond, impacting lives to the Glory of God.

Prayer Focus:

1. Pray that Our Lives, Congregation, and Leaders will have a heart to seek after God
2. Pray for a Spirit of Repentance and Forgiveness
3. That we will have a desire for Change, to be vessels pleasing unto God
4. That we will desire a Spirit of Revival to flow through us and through our midst.
