After tasting all the delicious foods of Italy for 3 weeks - gelato (every day), pizza almost every day, lasagna, pasta with sauce, with pesto, with olive oil, bread, oh lets not forget the croissants with chocolate - several times a week - mixed in with a few good salads and fruits - I managed to lose .2 pounds. Of course, walking a gazillion miles a day may have deterred any weight gain.

But like all things, my vacation was over and homeward bound I came. My friend came up from NJ to visit and I was not quite ready for her to be here, but I was happy to see her - 17 days sober and a new member of AA - I will jump on her bandwagon happily and gratefully. This after losing over 100 pounds before joining AA - definitely supportive. However, we ate what we wanted for a week to celebrate her birthday and sobriety. 6 days and 4 pounds later, she left to go home - in 3 days the pounds went away because I got back on track - literally and physically. So my goal now is to lose the last 27 pounds by Feb 2012, by sticking by this program, going to TOPS, walking and lifting weights as designed by this program. Also am going to ad Yoga in December for the body strength and agility. If I have to hit the big 60 - I certainly don't have to feel it - strength and flexibility is everything as you age.

Happy to be back and pushing onward toward my goal!!!!
