November 1...goals

Ok, so today is the first day of November and the beginning of the VERY busy and unhealthy holidy season. So, with that said, I need to set goals for myself. =) No more going into holiday blind sided.

So first goal...GET DOWN TO 150!!
I need to get into the holidays a little under where I am now so I can keep up the momentum. Not sure why my body is refusing to move (okay maybe a little has to do with my lack of tracking food), but I am going to get that scale to go down!

Goal #2: Positive Reinforcement each day.
Positive reflections for the next 30 days! I have been kinda in a slump and feel like I have been surrounded with negativity...no more letting people rain on my parade! I need to make sure I post something positive about my day or myself each day for the rest of the month. If I'm feeling great about something, I gotta remember it and pay attention to those good feelings, not the bad ones!

Goal #3: Have more me time.
I need to make a little more time for ME. I need at least 10-15 min a day to relax and just let my mind rest. I think this would be great in a hot bath, sauna time, or something that I don't have to worry about interruptions at all. I will figure this one out.

Goal #4: Finish that 13.1!!!
I have to do it! Gotta sign up! Gotta motivate...gotta run with all my heart! Most I have run is 9.6....now I need to get past that and run 10, 11, 12...and then 13 on the big day!

I can do this and you all need to hold me accountable! I give you permission to push me around and make me follow my goals!

My positive note for the day is that today's run was EASY! I wasn't huffing and puffing...I wasn't last (actually I was first!)...and I felt like I could just keep on going! It was the best feeling ever. So, I am proud of my accomplishments in my running! I feel great! On top of the world with my improvements! emoticon

    Me time is one thing I'm working on too. I'm trying to close the laptop and pick up a book, or do yoga, or write in a journal. Walking the dog counts too, and stretching or listening (focusing) on good music. It doesn't happen often enough though!

    You can achieve all these goals.....
    The amount of miles you have been training at will set you up for your race....we don't have to run the distance to achieve it on race day....
    I uesed to only walk 5 - 6k's a day when i was training for my 21.5 half marathon and I achieved that.....you will too....
    Just keep training with what your running....otherwise you are over training....

    You can so do this!!!! I love that you set small attainable goals for you to reach :) I am hoping my weight will get a jump start to falling off this week as I am still stuck at the same number. My goal is to track everyday this month. I have been so bad about getting out of the habit of doing it that I am thinking that has to be one of the main culprits for my "stuckscale syndrome" LOL

    I will sure try to help hold you accountable girl! I know how you feel, sometimes things can just pile up and become overwhelming. I always think of what JM says during the streching at the end of level 1 6w6p, you have to take time to celebrate yourself, take time to reflect on what you just accomplished, you took time for yourself. It always seems true when she says it, I did take time for myself, to do something that makes me feel better (usually lol). I also love love love hot baths, I grab a good book and just relax. Good luck on your goals, I know you can do it!! emoticon
