Winter is coming early.....here is how I know

The birds have come down from the mountains. I have sighted the Eastern Mountain Bluebird, the Dark Eyed Junco and the White Breasted Nuthatch in my yard all in the last few days. They normally don't show up in my yard until mid December. It is colder in the mountains and they are coming down to the lower hills a bit early. This is wonderful for me! I love cold weather; the more the better! I love seeing my birds; the sooner the better. I have well over 45 species that visit my yard on a regular basis. My mother-in-law would say, "Isn't God wonderful, to give us such pretty things to look at each day!" She is right. Here is a pic from last January's rare Georgia snow storm.
