My baby is in Iraq

Well my baby is in Iraq. She got there last night. She will be there for 6 months. She has two small children at home. This makes me very sad. If that wasn't enough her husband is being deployed to somewhere "that isn't as safe as where she is going" He will be deployed before she comes home.

People do not understand all of the sacrifices the military make for us. This is just another example of how much they give to their country. emoticon

    I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter will be in Iraq - I know I would be very concerned if it was my daughter too. We will keep you and your family in our prayers and please tell them that there are many of us that really do appreciate what they are doing for our country and all the sacrifices they are making. Hope that 6 months is very successful and she will be able to come home even sooner.

    Prayers for your daughter, husband, and family - and all the military serving our country and their families. Thank you for the sacrifice you are making. My nephew was in Afghanistan and has returned after a year deployment. Another nephew is still there.

    Where are the kids gonna go? It's crazy that at least one can't stay home, I know the life of a military wife, my hubs is retired Marine Corp. It is a great retirement and something they will be proud of the rest of their lives, but ohh sometimes the sacrifice is tough. One thing my hubs says "He believes it's harder on the ones left behind, because they are busy doing the mission" Let me tell you though the med bene's are great and the retirement won't make you rich, but won't make you poor in your later life either. Tell them Happy Veteran's day!

    i've had relations in iraq and afghanistan and seen and heard some of the negative effects such an experience can have.

    I am sad for you as well. And I so appreciate the sacrifice and will pray they remain safe. My daughter was in the Navy right after the 9/11 attack and I was terrified that she would have to go overseas. She did not. They will be in my prayers.
