Damage control!! Day 4

Friday, November 25, 2011

Hello everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday yesterday. I am happy to report that I had a great time with my family and I ate very well. I wasn't even thinking about eating healthfully and I still did. That shows me that my brain is in a better place and it helps me stay in control even when I am not aware of it.
Because we have such a big family and my parents live out of town my siblings and I enjoy their Thanksgiving with their perspective families, i.e. in-laws, spouses family, etc., my twin sister suggested this year we do something different and special for ourselves. We are going to have a sibling Thanksgiving on Black Friday instead of shopping. We will each bring a dish to share with our siblings and their families at my sister's house. Everyone loved the idea of two Thanksgivings. So we are all making food, desserts, and getting dressed for our special day. Our parents can't be here but they will be happy to know that we are all celebrating together...
So, I am going to embrace this additional holiday and enjoy every moment I can with my family. They are each a huge blessing in my life.. Thank you God for this day as well.
Hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend close to those you love as well.

I am confident that I will be in control today as well. Wish me luck!!!

You can definitely do this. You've already made great progress by changing your mindset. That's not easy.
