Doctors orders

Thursday, December 01, 2011

I dreaded the appt. I knew I was back at square one and it was so discouraging to see all 48 lbs that I had worked so hard to lose had all found there way back. Denial is not your friend. Yoga pants are not either, you can not feel the tightness indicator of a button on your waist.
My doctor was really cool. He focused on my achievement of my tri this year. Increased my anti anxiety meds which I needed. Welcomed me to the world of peri menopause. Diagnosed my tendinitis. Set up an. Appt for my sleep apnea, soon I will be getting a restful night sleep as well as my husband. And lastly he gave me a goal to lose 20 lbs. Informed me that he would not be a good doctor if he did not see me in a few months to check up on me. My next appt is march 28th and my new goal is to lose 20 lbs in 4 months.
You know I did not leave feeling like a fatty failure, I left feeling empowered. We ate our last supper of stuffed crust pizza hut. Tonight I will go to the gym with Amy and then go shopping to fill my house with sensible low. Carb choices.

Watch out Spark friends I feel good and I am back!

YOU CAN DO THIS - YOU DID IT BEFORE - I have SUCH FAITH in YOU!!

I am on my last 22 pounds and it loves clinging to me but I am happy to know it is less than I started out in 2011 with - goiing through the holidays will be tough with a lot of dining out when we go away for our 35th anniversary ending it with a bang too New Year' Eve.

I will take what I need to do, I am ice skating at least 2-3 times a week or should I say FIGURE SKATING because it DOES burn more! And when we go away I swim

YOU ARE EMPOWERED TO KICK THE WEIGHT TO THE DOOR - one ounce, one half pound, one pound NO MATTER WHAT YOU DROP (I NEVER SAY LOSE BECAUSE WE ALWAYS WANT TO FIND WHAT WE LOSE) that is LESS than you are now - THAT IS SUCCESS!

    HUGS and MUCH LOVE!!!

Yay for you and yay for your doctor! "Sensible low carb choices" in particular is music to my ears!

Getting sleep improvement will make you feel so much better. I had the test done and though I decided against the cpap machine, I still made a lot of other improvements in treating my chronic sinus problems and I feel MUCH more rested in the morning.

You know, I've been thinking about you, wondering at the silence. I'm sorry it wasn't better news, but glad to see you giving it another tri, so to speak.

Oh, did you know that you can tell the nurse that you do not want to step on the scale? Of course I did, step on it, but the next time I go to the doctors for a cold or something I know I have the ability to say no thanks to stepping on that dang thing.
