Running is the new crack....=)

Yes, that's right...all you people looking for a new addiction! Running is it. But here's the deal...unlike "real bad drugs" running takes work and a little bit of hate at the beginning to get to the good stuff (no immediate high...so very sorry)...once you get past the first few miles, you will actually start to crave the pain of adding new miles, running faster, taking on hills. Today is the first day I noticed it. I missed my run this morning to take hubby to airport. So, I decided that there was no excuse and I NEEDED to get that run in this afternoon. I craved it! So, I did. And boy did it feel great. Sure it was a little shorter of a run than my normal ones, but I did go fast and I did meet a milestone. =) I ran 3 miles in 29 minutes...the great thing...I stopped to walk to readjust the dog's leash...I stopped for a second to cross a busy street and still made it in 29 minutes! I have a goal of finishing a 5k this weekend in 28:30. I think I can actually do it!
So this new "crack" that I am living off of is a great thing! I am also noticing my clothes getting looser on me and my legs tightening up even more! So, join the crowd...get running!
