For the first time I was actually kind of looking forward to my weekly weigh-in. I know I had messed up on a couple of my meals, but I had really increased my daily exercising times, so I felt that would make some difference. Imagine my disappointment when I had gained a pound! Then I had to attend my sisters cookie exchange party. I couldn't feel any less like socializing, especially at a party that was all about eating cookies!!!! But I would have gotten a lot of grief from family if I skipped it; so I attended, but didn't eat a thing. I guess my lesson to learn is that exercise is not enough..it takes both exercise and healthy eating. So i need to put the disappointment behind me and start again.

Weight can fluctuate oddly. Sometimes I gain when I don't expect to or lose when I don't expect to. Try never to worry overly much about a single weigh-in. It's the overall trend that matters, and as MsKiz says, your health, muscle tone and body shape (inches lost).

Keep doing the positive things, and you can release the weight over time. All the best!
